Mary E. Hamm, 83, of Montevallo died Monday, May 1, 2006, in Alabaster.

She was born in Montevallo on June 27, 1922, and was preceded in death by her daughter, Lena Hicks.

She is survived by her children, Calvin (JoAnn) Hamm and Virginia (Willie) Beasley; her grandchildren, James (Nancy) Hamm, Kevin Hamm, Brandy Hamm, David Beasley and Melissa Mitchell; her great-grandchildren, Adam and Ben Mitchell; her sisters, Irma Morgan and Doris Edwards; her brother, Kenneth Cunningham Jr.; and a special sister-in-law, Jo Ann Cunningham.

Service was May 4 at 11 a.m. at Shelby Memory Chapel, the Rev. Mike Ratliff presiding. Burial followed in Montevallo City Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
