Dewey Braswell

Dewey Braswell, 75, of Montevallo died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in Alabaster.
He graduated from Thompson High School in 1949 and was an avid THS football and basketball fan.
He was also a lifelong coon hunter and founding member of Lawley Hunting Club. He also enjoyed Alabaster little league baseball and volunteered many hours helping at the field and watching games.
He owned and operated Standard Oil Service Station and Radiator Shop until 1979.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Margie Braswell; his sisters, Berie Crumpton, Essie Mae Nash, Dessie Reech and Betty Gray Braswell; and his brother, Stanley Braswell.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce &8220;Sis&8221; Braswell of Montevallo; his daughter, Teri Wilson of Alabaster; his son, Brady Wilson of Alabaster; his sisters, Evie Smitherman of Jemison and Jean Talley of Alabaster; his brother, Billy Braswell of Indian Springs; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend (&8220;like a daughter&8221;), Lisa Tiller of Montevallo.
Service was Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster (Cumberland), Brother Williams Jones presiding. Burial followed in Still Memorial Cemetery in Elliottsville, Ala., Rockco&8217;s Funeral Home directing
