Sara Marie Cairns, 93, of Columbiana died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at home.

She was a retired teacher, having taught at Montevallo High School, and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Cairns Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Nicholas (Rach/l) Cairns of Columbiana, Tad Cairns of Alabaster, Chris (Janet) Cairns of Millbrook and Brian (Elena) Cairns of Glenville, Ill.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Service will be Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Father Ray Remke presiding. The family requests memorial donations be made to the building fund at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo
