Barnett takes first win in feature

Cool weather didn’t stop racers and fans from coming out to Shelby County Speedway Saturday night.
In the Hobby division it was Phillip Barnett that took his first win at SCS for the season in the #1 car.
After winning his heat and starting on the pole for the feature, Barnett led the race from green flag to checker flag.
Taking the second spot was the #88 of Sandy Dawson and after taking a wild ride off the back stretch and going to the rear Gary Ingram in the #8 car took the third position.
For the stock division the #00 of David Davis was in the winners circle for the second week in a row.
The #9 of Mike Allen took the second position.
Third position was not available at publishing time.
Once again the Pure Pony division had a track full of race cars.
After the checkers fell it was Steven Foster in the #2 car that came out victorious.
The #12 of Josh Cost took the second position and the #19 of Allen Hulsey took the third position.
Craig Brogdem in the #21 made his first trip to the winners circle in the Limited Late Model division.
Second position went to the #12 of Mike Taylor and the third position went to the #15 of Jarrod Jones.
There was an added division Saturday night at SCS.
It seemed to be enjoyed by all.
In the Crate Motor division was the #72 of Toney Revis taking the win.
The #21 of
Kevin James came in second and the #48 of Adam Manning came in third.
Taking the checker flag in the Thunder and Lightning division was Sandy Dawson in the #88 car.
Crossing for second was the #100 of Michael Fields and third was the #16 of Joshua Ingram.
Last up for the night was the Hogg division.
For the fourth week in a row, the #77 of Gary Woods took the win and headed for the winners circle.
Second position went to the #1 of Tom Payton and the #70 of Frank Johnson took the third position.
During intermission the Little Speeders took the track.
Noah Davis took the win in the first race and Derrick Freeman took the win in the second race.
Also during intermission all of the children at the track were invited to have birthday cake with Mrs. Ethelene Ingram to celebrate her birthday.
