Last week, members of the Greater Shelby Chamber heard firsthand from Shelby County’s mayors how they have committed to work together for the good of the entire county.

We commend these city officials as well as others who have made this commitment.

Pelham Mayor Bobby Hayes was correct when he said without sitting down and working together for solutions, leaders would simply end up beating their heads against a wall.

By working together, our common problems are not so overwhelming.

We can address infrastructure that is stretched to its limits due to often-unfathomable growth.

By joining our voices, we can be heard.

And our leaders are a great example of that
