Nov. 2 is approaching quickly, and it may prove to be one of the most important voting dates in the past 50 years.

We encourage Shelby County voters to consider each candidate carefully. In doing so, we believe the best candidates include Patti Smith for Alabama Supreme Court, and George W. Bush for President of the United States.

Judge Patti Smith has a proven track record of standing up for conservative values as juvenile court judge in Shelby County. Judge Smith knows what the residents of Shelby County want on their state supreme court, and she will not forget the years of support she received in this county.

As supreme court judge, Smith can draw on her experience and close work with Shelby County’s families to help make the right decisions.

In the national race for President, the incumbent has already proven his leadership and vision. Rather than selecting an untested, wavering contender, we believe that President Bush can lead the country to prosperity at home.
