Santa plans visits to Shelby County cities

Each year on Christmas Eve, neighborhoods throughout the city get a welcome visitor. With sirens blaring and lights flashing, a fire truck takes Santa throughout the county to visit with children and give them candy.
Please look for Santa about 30 minutes before and after his estimated time of arrival. Santa will not be able to stop at individual homes, or go on every street in each neighborhood.
Due to the growth of the city, Santa will be limited on his stops to Alabaster. City officials asked that families gather in groups of 15 or more in neighborhoods.
In Helena, Santa will follow two routes on Christmas Eve beginning at 2 p.m. Listen to the siren that lets you know he is near and come to see him
