Police seek woman in Inverness bank robbery

— Hoover Police are searching for a woman who they suspect of robbing Compass Bank in Inverness June 27.

Surveillance cameras captured the woman believed to be involved in the robbery of Compass Bank's Inverness branch June 17.

The robbery occurred at 9:26 a.m. An undetermined amount of money was taken. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white woman between the ages of 40 and 45 years old. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.

She was wearing black-framed glasses and an orange Auburn T-shirt. She was carrying a white canvas bag with red along the bottom and what’s believed to be a University of Alabama “A” on it.

Police are also searching for the suspect’s possible vehicle — a white, four-door Honda Accord, model years 2007 to 2009.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to call Detective Sgt. Norman McDuffey at 739-6730.
