The two people found dead from gunshot wounds Sunday in the 100 block of Cripple Creek were the only people involved in the shooting, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said this morning.

“The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the shooting is still ongoing and Shelby County Sheriff’s investigators along with the coroner’s office worked through the night determining what happened,” according to a sheriff’s press release.

Found dead was Robert Joe Cather II, 42 of Sterrett, and Mark Lindsay Kerr, 46 of Sterrett.
